How the Walmart WFS calculator works

With WFS, Walmart stores, packs, and ships your orders, and charges a per-unit fulfillment fee based mainly on weight, plus monthly storage. You still pay a referral fee on each sale.

Before inventory reaches Walmart, you also pay to prepare and ship it inbound. The calculator spreads those costs per unit so you can see real profit for each SKU.

The formulaProfit = sale price − referral fee − product cost − WFS fulfillment fee − storage − inbound shipping − prep and labeling.

Costs every WFS seller should count

  • Referral feeA percentage of the sale price, set by category.
  • WFS fulfillment feeA per-unit fee Walmart charges to pick, pack, and ship, based on the item’s weight and size.
  • StorageA monthly fee for space in Walmart’s fulfillment centers, which can increase for aged inventory.
  • Inbound shippingFreight from your supplier or warehouse to the fulfillment center.
  • Prep and labelingPackaging and labels that meet WFS requirements, done in-house or by a prep provider.

Walmart WFS calculator questions

Have a question about your own account? Bring it to a strategy call.

How are WFS fulfillment fees calculated?

Walmart charges a per-unit fee based mainly on the item’s shipping weight and size, from its current WFS rate card. Enter the fee that applies to your item.

Does Walmart charge storage for WFS?

Yes. WFS charges monthly storage based on the space your inventory uses, and fees can increase for inventory stored a long time.

Is WFS cheaper than shipping orders myself?

It depends on the item’s size, price, and sales speed. Many sellers use WFS for fast movers and fulfill slower or bulky items themselves. Compare both with real numbers.

Who prepares inventory for WFS?

The seller, either in-house or through a prep provider. Items must meet Walmart’s packaging and labeling requirements before inbound shipment.

Does FoXedo run the WFS shipments for me?

We plan and coordinate catalog, prep checks, inbound shipments, and replenishment as part of Walmart account management. Walmart performs the fulfillment.
